Blockchain Loyalty News | Review of Pigzbe | Stacey’s Stars

This month Stacey reviews blockchain loyalty program Pigzbe, a gamified digital piggy bank for kids powered by the cryptotoken Wollo.

The program is designed to help teach children the principles of good financial habits like earning, saving and managing money in a digital world in a fun and interesting way.

The creative use of both part physical hardware and part digital software designed for use by parents and kids is what makes this program exceptional.

The Pigzbe app for parents allows them use their smart device to set chores and tasks for their kids and reward them with the cryptotoken Wollo when completed.

The Pigzbe app for children allows kids to play educational games whilst learning, interacting with and visualising their savings goals on the Pigzbe money tree.

The Pigzbe handheld device lets kids know when there’s a new task for them and that they’ve received Wollo for completing a task or as a gift. It also helps them keep track of their saving and spending in the real world.

Confirming my views that this is a well-designed blockchain loyalty program with longevity, was Pigzbe’s ability to raise US$8.1m in November 2018 – during an extremely tough environment for ICO’s.

To cap off their stellar end to 2018, the team also managed to negotiate a partnership with Wirex, the only company in Europe with a debit card that is linked to users’ crypto wallets. This is the perfect partnership for Pigzbe as it allows kids to earn Wollo as pocket money through the App and easily spend it in the real world  through the Wirex Visa Card at over 40 million retailers – with approval from mum and dad of course.

I particularly love the gamification techniques used by Pigzbe to make learning about these often dry subjects interesting, fun and rewarding for both kids and parents. The company is well-established to play a lead role in their core mission of educating the future generation about financial literacy and a truly cashless, borderless financial system.

I give this program a 4 and a half out of 5 stars.
