In this video, Max briefly covers 3 platforms which are making some wonderful headway in the blockchain loyalty space.
Cloud Union’s Wonder Rewards is an online affiliate program, currently exploring moving their rewards platform to the blockchain, because their ultimate goal is a major coalition loyalty play and they believe the tech offers greater transparency and more flexibility at a global level once their points currency is tokenized. Transfer of value can then easily take place without any involvement of the banking system.
Digitalbits is putting a lot of work into a platform designed to convert a bunch of diverse loyalty program currencies into a single tokenized currency, making it interoperable. At scale, the result would be enhanced mass market liquidity across thousands of different points currencies and higher perceived value by the consumer, resulting in improved engagement.
Hooch is a hospitality perks app, providing its 200,000 users with discounts at over 100,000 restaurants, hotels and bars. Interestingly, a company called Tapcoin is taking this experience several steps further via blockchain and rewarding the users for everyday purchases they are already making through the Hooch app. Why blockchain? Because it will allow Hooch to manage millions of micro-transactions more efficiently and engage directly with consumers by rewarding them with the TAP cryptotoken for certain actions, in a true 1:1 marketing model.
