Each month, Max will be posting a video which highlights blockchain loyalty programs in the market and what’s interesting about them.
The second edition of Max’s Month in Review focuses on the disruption of the travel industry and the different blockchain loyalty models that 3 separate blockchain-powered platforms bring to the table:
Trippki is a blockchain-powered hotel booking platform which rewards users with TRIP cryptotokens, charging hotels 10% commission, of which 7.5% is returned to users in TRIP tokens.
Is another blockchain-powered hotel booking platform with their own cryptotoken called GO Token. Members will be able to pay for travel by either credit card or a selected range of cryptocurrencies. Interestingly, this company does not charge hotels any commissions. Instead, they will earn revenue by taking a clip of member transactions.
Gozo will allow conversion of ANY existing loyalty program currency into GOZO Token, which they claim will provide greater liquidity for the consumer. Once converted, customers can then put the GOZO Token towards any purchase via their travel club.
